I share Paidea's Philosophy

I respect all children.

I use "open-ended" teaching techniques by providing children materials and encouraging them to do it their way.

I focus on learning through the process, encouraging children to ask questions, figure out how things work, solve problems that occur in addition to the look of the final product.

I 'talk' with children by describing behaviors, offering choices, identifying feelings.

I separate inappropriate actions from the person. For example, "You are a very good listener, but right now you are making a poor choice. Can you think of a better way to listen?"
